Want to sponsor one of the activities planned for the girls during their time in the U.S.? Now you can!

Anyone who sponsors an activity will receive photographs documenting the experience he or she helped to make possible. Whenever permitted, we will also post videos to the Namibian Dreams YouTube channel so that you can share in the experience!

Unless otherwise specified, all of the prices indicated below are for both girls.

Franklin Institute

The Tuttleman IMAX Theater is a Dome theatre that is truly unique in a number of ways. Unlike conventional dome theaters that are 180° encompassing, IMAX Dome screens are also tilted at 30 degrees. The special seating places the audience up in the dome completely involving them in the show. The dome is over 70 feet across and 4.5 stories tall. In addition, 20,000 watts of amplifier power and over 50 speakers will make you feel like you are part of the action. An IMAX Dome theater truly puts you in the center of the action.

Flight Simulator

A new flight simulator lets visitors try a variety of maneuvers, including a 360 roll. The 1948 T-33 jet trainer (one of the most successful jet trainers ever built), shows visitors how to handle real jet controls, while other interactives introduce cockpit controls, principles of flight, and how they impact aircraft design.

Philadelphia Zoo

Did you know that certain draft horse breeds can weigh up to 2,000 pounds and measure more than six feet tall at their shoulders? The Zoo's draft horses are Percherons - a breed originating from the province of Le Perche, France. Instead of working the fields, the ancestors of this breed originally served as war horses carrying knights into battle.

Rainforest Carousel

The Zoo’s new and enchanting all-wooden, hand-carved and hand-painted carousel is the first of its kind in the United States featuring endangered species found within the Amazon Rainforest. The Amazon Rainforest Carousel includes 30 bird, reptile, mammal and amphibian "seats,” as well as two spinning snake chariots. Riders of all ages will have fun discovering and understanding the importance of preserving the Amazon Rainforest while being treated to sounds of the Amazon, gliding along on animals such as jaguars and anacondas right outside the Zoo’s historic Treehouse building. Several animals featured on the carousel are also part of the Zoo's animal collection, with many of their wild cousins protected by the Zoo’s conservation programs.

Swan Boats

If you're looking for the perfect activity for active children, look no farther than the Swan Boats on Bird Valley. Youngsters can paddle their way around Bird Lake in the Zoo's Victorian swan boats, each one built for two to three people. This activity will provide boatloads of summer fun for everyone.
